The Ellis XC team completes its four-meet on the season at Norton. Seven of our runners had PRs on the day. Avery Boydston finished 1st just in front of her sister Taryn Boydston. Both girls completed their race in under 19:00 minutes. Shayden Boydston finished 1st for the fourth time in a row. Judah Albin finished 6th and Chevy Morton came in 8th. Great day to be a Railer!!

The Ellis XC team took advantage of good weather and hard work at the Trego Invitational. Four of our six varsity runners had season PRs with Taryn Boydston, Braidyn Cox, and Talon Pyle each having career PRs. Avery and Taryn continue to push each other going 1st and 2nd once again. Hey all, as part of the EHS/JH Chess Club we are starting an official tournament team. This team will travel to different schools in Kansas to compete! This is an opportunity open to both High School and Junior High. We have some tentative dates for tournaments in the work that will be announced soon. But, our club has been invited to the 1st annual Ellinwood Invitational Tournament on October 4th. So, if your student is interested in being a part of this tournament team (I’ve already talked to several club members about this opportunity) then please reach out to me mdavenport@usd388.com to let me know.
