Monday and Tuesday, 5 of the Boys Railer Wrestling team and Coach Haag attended a camp at Barton Community College. Railers competed head-to-head individually in a round robin style format on Monday. Korbyn Kroeger finished 6th, Kooper Hankins and Brendan Seibel finished 5th, Jack Reed finished 3rd, and Asher Haag finished 1st. Day 2, the Railers wrestled in team dual format, competing against 5A Great Bend, 6A Lawrence Free State, 5A Valley Center, 4A Rock Creek, 3A Ellsworth, and Team X (combined team of individual wrestlers from all classes). While no team scores were kept, the Railers faired on the winning side in 3 of the 5 duals, including the competition against one of the 5A schools. Individuals success came for Seibel and Hankins with 3 wins over larger school opponents, Kroeger racked up 4 wins, Reed finished with 7 wins, and Haag finished the two days with 11 wins, going undefeated overall.
Railers are excited to host their own boys and girls camp in the Railer Wrestling room on July 8-9.

Great opportunity open to all local wrestlers, male and female. Each age group has 2 sessions (see flyer). If you are wrestling at Ellis High School next year, it is highly encouraged that you to attend. Sign up as soon as possible as space is limited.

Week 2 of Ellis Power (HS Boys Summer Weights) is in the books!
This week we had a few missed days from a few kids but overall still very good attendance 96%!
Kids seem to be enjoying the new work outs and I personally feel I'm not having to police lifts as much making sure we dont skip lifts so thats a great thing! Kids seem focused and hungry for big things to happen this season! We have 26 total lifting days left not counting team camp week before we start season practices! Keep working hard guys!

What a great day it was as Caleb Noble-Heit became the 1st Ellis Railroader to play in the Kansas 8-Man All-Star game! Caleb played for the West squad and had several good catches and yards in the game! He also had kick off duty and 10 of his 11 kickoffs went for touchbacks today as the West went on to win the game 72-0!

Its Game Day! Make the short drive to Beloit and cheer on Caleb Noble-Heit one more time as he competes in the Kansas 8 man All-Star Game! Division 1 game starts at 1:30pm @ Trojan Field

Attention Ellis High School Students: The Ellis Nutrition Center is seeking volunteers this summer. This is an excellent opportunity to earn community service hours while giving back to the community. If you're interested, please get in touch with Leonard Schoenberger at 785-726-1278. Thank you!

HS Summer League Volleyball schedule has been released. The girls play on Monday afternoons starting June 9th at Hays High and Hays Rec.

It's 8 man All-Star Week! If you arent doing anything Saturday June 7th make the drive to Beloit and watch our very own Caleb Noble-Heit play 1 more game for the Railroaders! D1 game starts at 1:30pm! Good Luck Caleb and go WEST SQUAD!

What a great start to Ellis Power (HS Boys summer weights)
This week kicked off summer workouts and we are doing something a little different this year. We had Dan Rogers of Olympus Performance come in and write the workouts for the summer program. This should help us by cutting out the unnecessary lifts and working more efficiently specifically with speed and explosiveness! Kids seem to be enjoying the new workouts!
So far we have 100% attendance for everyone who has committed to playing football this fall with a few others joing in a few days also!
Lets keep it going. The season will be here before we know it!
