This week, Ellis High School proudly recognizes our Senior Railroader Track and Field athletes! The Regional Track event will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Oberlin-Decatur Community High School, starting at 2:00 PM. Our Track and Field Seniors are as follows (front row): Manager Morgan Armbrister, daughter of Mark and Crystal Armbrister; Addison Kohl, daughter of Jeff and Emily Kohl; Kamden Keller, son of Todd and Amy Keller; Kaycee Cranwell, daughter of Clyde Cranwell and the late Kristi Cranwell; Manager MaKenzie Kohlrus, daughter of Travis and Susie Kohlrus. This summer, beginning Tuesday, May 27 for those students who are not still competing in their season of sport, the weight room will be open for training sessions. These sessions will run through Friday, August 8, with the exception of June 30 - July 6 in observance of the KSHSAA Summer Moratorium. The weight room will be open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and the allotted time sessions for each group are as follows:
9-12 Boys: 6:30-7:30am
6-8 Boys: 7:30-8:30am
6-12 Girls: 8:30-9:30am
Please be understanding if an occasional change needs to be made with staff schedules or camps that are occurring throughout the summer. We will continue to do our best no minimize conflicts for the students involved in multiple activities with practices and weight training sessions.

ATTENTION High School Girls' Basketball Players...This is a reminder that there will be an introductory meeting Tuesday, May 20, at 2:00pm in the EHS Library. If you plan to play and are unable to attend, please email dschoenthaler@usd388.com so that we may get your information to our coaching staff.
Summer Camp is going to be June 2-4 from 6-9pm in the EHS Gym. Let's get ready!!

It's Regional Softball Week, and today is game day for the Lady Railers! They are heading to Spearville this afternoon for regional action and will face the Spearville Lancers at 6:00 PM tonight. There will be an introductory meeting for all girls interested in playing high school basketball on Tuesday, May 20, at 2:00pm in the EHS Library. It was a very successful day for the Ellis Track Team, which competed in the MCL Track Meet in Hill City. Natalee North broke the school record in the shot and finished first with a throw of 40' 8 3/4". We are proud of you, Natalee. The girls' team finished in 2nd place on the day with 100.5 points. Overall, the team had 15 PRs. Your MCL champions are Natalee North in the shot and discus, Evelyn Merriman in the 100 M, 200 M, and 400 M, Isabella Eck in the HJ, which tied the MCL record, Aron Benzce in the Discus. and Avery Boydston in the 800 M. 2nd place finishers are Aron Benzce in the Shot and Avery Boydston in the 1600 M and 3200 M. The 4 x 100 girls' relay of Addison Kohl, Isabella Eck, Sienna Schmidt, and Evelyn Merriman finished 3rd. The 4th place finishers were Tracyn Bollig in the PV and Sienna Schmidt in LJ. 5th place finishers are JT Rhoden in PV, Addison Kohl in 100 H, and the 4 x 800 girls' relay of Jocelyn Eck, Taylor Kohl, Kaycee Cranwell, and Kinzie Sunley. Addison Kohl placed 6th in PV. Great work Railers! Good Luck at Regionals next week in Oberlin.



It's Regional Baseball Game Day! The Ellis Railroaders will face off against the Plainville Cardinals this afternoon. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM, with senior recognition taking place at 4:50 PM. Admission prices are $8 for adults and $6 for students. Congratulations to our seniors: JJ Lopeman, Toby Honas, Gavyn Wildeman, Hunter Guffey, Chance Jimenez, and Chason Fabrizius. Come out and support your Railroaders on this beautiful day!
