Railer Wrestlers took the mat in a Regional tournament boasting 5 of the Top 10 teams in the state. The Railers entered with a young, but amazingly strong group of grapplers. The four freshmen and lone sophomore represented Ellis and themselves well. Kooper Hankins and Korbyn Kroeger gained valuable experience, wrestling with heart and extreme toughness throughout the day. Jack Reed and Carter Jimenez both found wins in their first KSHSAA Post-Season contest, falling just short of the podium to continue their seasons. Asher Haag, 138-pound runner-up at the tournament, joins the four Lady Railers who qualified for the KSHSAA State Tournament this Friday and Saturday in Hays at Gross Memorial Coliseum. Good luck to the 5 Railers continuing their quest for gold. #itsagreatdaytobearailer
