
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Ellis High School inducted 13 juniors and 12 seniors into the local chapter of the National Honor Society. Requirements for NHS are a 3.5 GPA, leadership in seven organizations within the school or community, an accumulation of 40 hours of community service, and a positive character evaluation by teachers. Congratulations to these outstanding students!

The 8 man district 7 teams have be released and there are several Railroaders who made the list! Congrats to all of them on what was a great 🏈 season!


6th-12th graders got to participate in a career fair today at EHS sponsored by STEMMFIRE. They learned about the following careers- Engineering, Computer Science, Wildlife and Parks, Agronomy, Orthopedic surgery, Banking, and Cybersecurity.

Although we did not come away with the results we wanted, we are super proud of our cheerleaders!! We want to give a big THANK YOU to all of those that came out to support us and be the best crowd during our performance!! Until next year....


Hey all, sorry for the short notice. I forgot to send this message out on Thursday. Our practice this Wednesday (11/27) will be at 10:00am - 12:00pm. instead of 8:00am. This is to accommodate for High School practice needing to move up. This practice is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend having the girls there for the extra practice time! Thanks!

Ellis Junior High KAYs is now taking donations for the Ellis Food Pantry. Please bring nonperishable food items to school (to Mrs. Reed's room). Each class will then use the items to block a JH teacher of their choosing on Monday during seminar. Let's see which class can bring the most items--7th grade or 8th grade! Please have all items to the school by noon on Monday.

The North Gym has become available to use right after school today. So we are moving JH boys basketball practice down there from 3:24-5:45. Any questions please contact Coach Eichman

Parents, this is a reminder that tonights JH girls practice will take place @EHS from 5:30-7:00pm. This is to occomadate that I will be helping coach HS girls bball as well. This will be the same on Friday. Wednesday practice will be at normal time until 5:00pm at Washington Grade School
