Mrs. Befort presented Awards and Certificates for her students in the classroom. They received a kindergarten certificate, an individual certificate, their writing journal and a medal for all their hard work this year. We videotaped it through Seesaw for all
parents to watch.

The WGS Second Grade Hero Program received their certification from Headquarters this morning. They’ve worked all year to become leaders and today they were commissioned out as heroes.




District Retirement Reception

Kindergarten Mother’s Day Tea was held Friday, May 6 at WGS. This tradition started over 15 years ago and is a special time to celebrate moms. The students sang songs, served their mother cake & punch. The kindergarteners were so excited when their mom opened up gifts they made.

Aubree and Maddison represented the 5th grade class at the county competition for Famous Figures. Way to go, ladies!

The 4th, 5th, and 6th graders traveled to Kearney, Nebraska to explore The Archway Museum. So many smiles and so much history in one place!




Mother/Daughter Silly String! Hailey McMillan (4th Grade) chose to Silly String her mom, Mrs. McMillan (1st Grade teacher) after reaching her 90 AR points.

Silly String flew again this morning. Adalynn and Talon (6th grade) covered Mrs. Kuppetz. Jona, Lona, Hailey, Charly, and Brayden (4th grade) chose to spray Mrs. Burd, Mrs. Rohleder, Mrs. Wildeman, and Mrs. McMillan.
