EVENT: Junior High Volleyball

Volleyball – 4:30pm (Order of play - JV, Varsity)
LOCATION: Ellis High School, 1706 S. Monroe, Ellis, KS 67637
TEAMS: Stockton and Ellis
VB SCHEDULE: All contests will be played at Ellis High School beginning at 4:30pm with the JV game. The JV game will be followed by the Varsity game. Contests will be played as a best-of-3 to 25 points, with the third game going to 15 points, if necessary. Warm-up schedule is as follows.
WARM-UP: Before each contest we will have a 10-minute warm-up session. Warm-up sessions will be…
- 2 minutes shared court time for ball handling
- 4 minutes for the visiting team to use the court and serve (no home team skill work)
- 4 minutes for the home team to use the court and serve (no visiting team skill work)
ADMISSIONS: $5 Adults / $4 Students / MCEL passes accepted

Railer Varsity - Lacrosse tournament starts @ 9am, our first match against Stafford approximately 10 am
Railer JV - Hoisington tournament starts @ 9am, our first match against Hutch Trinity approximately 10 am

EJH VOLLEYBALL RESULTS (8/31)
Ellis JV defeated Logan/Palco at home with a slow start but pulled out a first set win of 25-22 and prevailed in the second set 25-12.
Ellis Varsity also took another win at home against Logan/Palco. They fought hard the first set with a 29-27 score and continuing the energy in the second set crushing with a 25-10 score.
Varisty: 3-0
JV: 2-1
The 2023 XC team is off and running on the new season. The team competed at Smoky Valley with Austin Carroll placing 9th, Avery Boydston, Taryn Boydston, and Cayson Boydston all placing 1st. Good work team!!

The Lady Railer Volleyball Team traveled east to take on rivals, the TMP Monarchs in a volleyball dual. JV started the evening off dropping to the Monarchs in 2 sets. Varsity took the floor for the first time of the season, and displayed just what they have been working on. Beating the Monarchs in 4 sets to win the dual!! Scores were
25-22, 25-20, 17-25, ending with a thriller 29-27! What a way to start the season!!! Great job Lady Railers!! Our next matches are at Plainville, one week from today!! 🖤🧡🏐🧡🖤

Lady Railers Varsity Volleyball opens the night with a 25-22 win over TMP in a best of 5 series. 🚂🏐
Tomorrow the EHS Volleyball team heads to Hays to take on the TMP Monarchs. JV begins at 5, with Varsity to follow. Both matches will take place at Al Billinger Fieldhouse.
HS KAY members had fun tonight! They brought Kleenex for the school and played slip n slide kickball.
UPDATE: EHS Journalism will be coming to Junior High Volleyball practice tomorrow (8/29) at the beginning of practice to take 2023 season pictures! The girls will need to bring their uniforms to change into before practice! Thank you! -Coach Werth

We are still looking for Program Ambassadors for each sport. Ambassador responsibilities are simple, your job would be to help keep Booster Club informed of your specific sport that would need special attention; Be the "eyes and ears" between the coach and booster club.

Congratulations to the JV Railer Volleyball team taking 3rd at the Ness City Volleyball Tournament!! Beating Ness City in 3, 18-25, 25-19, and 15-13. Way to go ladies!!! 🧡🏐🖤🏐🧡
Railer Volleyball update- JV lost to Wichita County 19-25, 25-13, 11-15, then won against Lacrosse 25-14 & 25-6. JV is at least 2nd in their pool, maybe 1st.
C-team lost to Phillipsburg in 3, 12-25, 26-24, 3-15. They are 2nd in their pool waiting to play winner of pool 2.
