The EHS Winter Sports Seasonal Recognition and Awards is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ellis Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium. We will be recognizing basketball and wrestling. Parents, families, and community members are welcome to attend!

Summer is right around the corner! Before you pack up for vacations, take a look below at upcoming Fort Hays State University Volleyball Camps! These camps are a great way to ease back in to the gym, meet friends, learn new skills, and HAVE FUN!! There are multiple camps for different age divisions and sessions for May/June and July! HS Cheer Tryouts for the 2024-25 school year will be held the week of March 18. On Monday, March 18, students will be instructed on basic techniques and stunts. They will also be introduced to the fight song and a choreographed dance routine. Thursday, March 21, will be a review of everything from Monday. On Friday, March 22, students will perform in front of a panel of judges. All sessions are scheduled for 5:30-7:30pm.

Spring time is nearly here! If you need helping hands for yard work, spring cleaning, or farm/ranch work, FFA members are here for you. JH Track & Field practice beings Monday, March 4! Practice begins after school at approximately 3:45pm and is held at the North Campus. The bus is able to transport students from Ellis Jr/Sr High School to the practice facility. Practice will end at approximately 5:30pm for the first week. Students will need comfortable and appropriate clothing based on the weather and a pair of shoes to run in. Spikes and specific throwing shoes are allowed, but not required. There will be a Parent Meeting after practice on Wednesday, March 6, at 5:30pm at the North Campus Gym.

It's getting real, senior parents! Cap and Gown Packages were distributed today during seminar. Parents & Seniors-please make sure these make it home! The song "Never Grow Up" by Taylor Swift should be played right now! Bring on the tears!

Today the JH Scholars Bowl Teams traveled to Phillipsburg. The 7th grade team went 4-5, and DNP. The 8th grade went 7-2, placing 2nd! Great job today! Our next meet will be March 26th, the MCEL meet in Hoxie.





Congratulations the following ladies who placed in the 2024 KSPA Regional contest. They will go on to compete in the state contest later this year.
