Ellis Jr./Sr. High School proudly highlights another outstanding educator, Mr. Matt Carroll. He is a dedicated and valued teacher within our district, bringing a wealth of knowledge and talent to our industrial technology program. Have you seen some of the amazing projects our students create? From building sheds to crafting woodworking projects, Mr. Carroll’s classes consistently produce exceptional work! We are fortunate to have him in our district. Additionally, Mr. Carroll is our long-time golf coach, and the program has seen great success and high participation over the years. Due to the forecasted weather, there has been a change to tomorrow's basketball schedule. We will still be monitoring weather conditions and reports, and will continue to send updates if/when additional changes are made. As of now, we have shortened the sub-varsity schedule of play and moved varsity start times up by one hour. Beginning at 4:00pm, we will play 1 quarter of Boys' C and 2 quarters of Boys' JV. Varsity Girls will start at 5:00pm with Varsity Boys to follow. Final decisions will be made by noon tomorrow after seeing updated reports and monitoring current and forecasted conditions. Please continue to check communication channels for those updates.

The EHS Alumni Association is hosting a soup supper during tomorrow night's home basketball game against the Trego Golden Eagles! Soup will be served from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and it is a free-will donation. Come and enjoy delicious chili, green bean dumpling soup, or taco soup, along with a cinnamon roll!
Did you know that it is National School Counselor Appreciation Week? We would like to express our gratitude to Mrs. Nicole Carroll, the counselor at Ellis Jr./Sr. High School. She supports our students and faculty in many ways, helping to improve our schools. Mrs. Carroll is a valued member of both our community and our school. Ellis High School had its Annual KAY Snowball Dance on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Snowball Royalty class winners are as follows: Freshman Queen, Mackinley Rhoden; Sophomore Queen, Jersee Fabrizius; Junior Queen, Sienna Schmidt; Senior Queen, Alyssa Rome; Senior King, Tyler Bongartz; Junior King, Jaren Frickey; Sophomore King, Dominic Fondoble; Freshman King, Trenton Schartz. Tayler Schmidt, a junior at Ellis High School, auditioned for the Honors Performance Series on bass clarinet last spring. She was selected for the group and will be traveling to New York City for two performances at Carnegie Hall under the direction of renowned conductors. Tayler will leave on February 6th and will meet other finalists from around the world. During her trip, she will have rehearsals and enjoy sightseeing at famous landmarks, as well as the opportunity to see a Broadway show. She will also explore dining options, museums, and everything else the Big Apple has to offer! We are incredibly proud of you, Tayler, and hope you have an amazing experience!
