Girls Week 1 found us entered with 9 of the top 10 trams in the state. Senior Maleah Vine (4th) and Junior Kia Mader (3rd) wrestled their way to the podium.
Week 2 the teams showed marked improvement as the boys competed in and the girls went two directions, taking on not only the best of Kansas but the best in the nation.
Railer Round Robin (12 teams) results:
Senior JT Rhoden 2nd
Senior Blake Bieker 6th
Brendan Seibel 6th
Mason Rohkeder 6th
Austin Lopeman 9th

Great Bend Christmas Clash:
Kia Mader (3rd). Toughest and largest girls tournament in the state with 4-5-6A schools. She went 5-1, knocking off the #2-ranked in her weight class
Minneapolis Jeff Giles Memorial Tournament:
3 Lady Railers attended. Piper McClung placed 4th, taking on the defending state champion in the semis, but proving herself a worthy opponent. Lyla Richards (2nd) wrestled in the championship after she knocked off the #6 ranked girl in the state in the semi-finals. Hannah James (4th) wrestled hard, including against the 7th ranked girl in the nation from Chanute, picking up wins in her first season on the mat.
Special thank you to all the volunteers who helped at the Railer Round Robin. The tournament doesn't run without community involvement.
