The EHS Alumni Association is hosting a soup supper during tomorrow night's home basketball game against the Trego Golden Eagles! Soup will be served from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and it is a free-will donation. Come and enjoy delicious chili, green bean dumpling soup, or taco soup, along with a cinnamon roll!
Did you know that it is National School Counselor Appreciation Week? We would like to express our gratitude to Mrs. Nicole Carroll, the counselor at Ellis Jr./Sr. High School. She supports our students and faculty in many ways, helping to improve our schools. Mrs. Carroll is a valued member of both our community and our school. In the photo, she is pictured with three seniors who are headed to their Hansen interviews this morning: Taegan Shannon, Addison Kohl, and Morgan Armbrister. Also interviewing today, but not pictured, is Maleah Vine. We wish all of them the best of luck as they have the honor of interviewing for this prestigious scholarship.

Ellis High School had its Annual KAY Snowball Dance on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Tayler Schmidt, a junior at Ellis High School, auditioned for the Honors Performance Series on bass clarinet last spring. She was selected for the group and will be traveling to New York City for two performances at Carnegie Hall under the direction of renowned conductors. Tayler will leave on February 6th and will meet other finalists from around the world. During her trip, she will have rehearsals and enjoy sightseeing at famous landmarks, as well as the opportunity to see a Broadway show. She will also explore dining options, museums, and everything else the Big Apple has to offer! We are incredibly proud of you, Tayler, and hope you have an amazing experience!

Ellis Jr./Sr. High School is excited to highlight another outstanding teacher this week: Mrs. April Reed. She is a talented and invaluable educator and advisor within our district, serving as the advisor for the Railroader Yearbook. We are fortunate to have such a high-quality yearbook representing our school and community, thanks to Mrs. Reed and our amazing student staff. In addition to her busy schedule and family commitments, Mrs. Reed is pursuing a Master's Degree in English. We are proud to celebrate her contributions to our Railroader community. Several JH and HS KAY members attended the KAY unit conference in Norton today. They worked on service projects, listened to speakers, and learned more about KAY.
