English III students completed their study of Native American poetry and creation stories. In groups, they had to write their own creation stories and perform them in the customary way of Native American storytelling.

Ellis Cross Country team from the Smoky Valley team in Lindsborg.


Great start to the season for the JH/HS XC team. All met there meet goal on the day. Avery Boydston placed 1st in the Fr/So division while MaKenna Kohl and Macy Eberle placed 3rd and 5th respectfully in the Jr/Sr division. Aiden Aschbrenner placed 4th in the 8th grade race.

**Unfortunately there will be no Fall Pep Rally tomorrow new date to be determined.**

EHS Cheerleaders and EJH Cheerleaders attended a Spirit Spreader in Dodge City on Wednesday. The girls worked with Varsity staff on cheers, sidelines, band chants, and stunts. It is a great way to get pumped up for the year🧡🖤🧡🖤



EJH Volleyball & Football teams will be in action Thurs., Sept. 1st against Logan/Palco. Logan/Palco vs Ellis volleyball @ 4:00 PM, Damar Elementary School (402 W. 3rd, Damar). Logan/Palco vs Ellis football @ 6:00 PM, Palco Field (North of Palco, off Hwy 18, V Road).

The Lady Railers will travel to Smith Center today for a triangular with the host school and Stockton. Contests begin at 5:00pm. Varsity contests will be held at the HS and JV contests will be played at the Elementary School. Best of luck to our EHS Volleyball teams!

HS KAYS enjoyed slip n slide kickball this evening! Thanks to Monte Cox and Randy Herman for their help making it happen.
