All seniors are required to do a job shadow 1st semester and today they each shared their experiences with the whole senior class.


With school finishing up this week and the holidays approaching, we will not be holding any open gyms for the remainder of the month. Open gym for JH/HS students will resume on January 4 at 2:30pm.
FCCLA Parent's Night Out was a success!! Everyone enjoyed all the games and activities and we hope parents got to enjoy their evening too! Wishing everyone Happy Holidays!

Ellis High School has announced its Finals Schedule for Fall 2025, which will take place on Thursday, December 18, and Friday, December 19, 2025! As a reminder, we will have a 12:30 PM dismissal on Friday, December 19, and lunch will be served. Route buses will run. The MCEL Basketball Tournament is taking place this week! Since Saturday's games were canceled, the games will be played today. Dismissal time for basketball players and cheerleaders will be at 2:20 PM.

Open Gym today will be held at the North Campus and not EHS.
Railer boys wrestling hit the road bright and early after wrestling until 9pm on Friday, leaving Ellis at 4:50am to compete in the Jeff Giles Memorial tournament in Minneapolis. To say it was a successful day is an understatement, finally returning home at 11pm. As a whole team, they picked up a combined 15 wins while only wrestling in 5 weight classes.
120: Korbyn Kroeger finished 2nd in his pool, going 2-1 on the day.
126: Carter Jimenez won his pool, going 3-0.
144: Kooper Hankins won his at 3-0.
138: Asher Haag went 4-0 on the day, and was crowned champion in a 16-man bracket.
150: Jack Reed went 3-0, winning his pool.
The Railers are in action next at the Russell Invitational on December 20.

The Lady Railer Wrestlers hit the road early at 4:50am to compete in the Jeff Giles Memorial tournament in Minneapolis, finally returning home after a very successful day at 11pm. They picked up a combined 15 wins while only wrestling in 5 weight classes due to illness and injury. While the ladies were short-handed, they still finished 7th out of 20 teams.
Starting the team off was Piper McClung, finishing 3-1, bringing home the silver medal.
EHS’s lone senior posted 4 wins on the day for a 2nd place finish.
In her weight class, Lyla Richards also brought 4 wins for a 2nd place finish.
Keliah Heit wrestled her first varsity competition of her career, gaining much knowledge and improvement with each match.
Hannah James boasts a runner-up finish with 4 wins on the day.
The Lady Railer resume action on Dec. 20 at Russell.

JH MCEL Basketball Update - Today's games have been postponed to Monday. Monday's games will begin at 3:00pm. Our girls are scheduled to play Game 2 in Plainville and the boys will play Game 3 in Norton. Monday's schedule has been moved to Thursday. Those games will all be played in Plainville. Thursday's games have been moved to Friday. Those games will all be played in Norton. Games on Thursday and Friday will also begin at 3:00pm.

Our young Men’s Railer Wrestlers conducted the train in the familiar territory of home in the annual Railer Round Robin. This group of freshmen and a sophomore continue to improve and find success in week 2. All members of the team finished in the Top 6.
144: Kooper Hankins finished big with 3 wins, finishing 6th.
150: Jack Reed looked equally impressive with a 6th place finish.
126: Carter Jimenez found the podium in 4th place.
120: Korbyn Kroeger won 3 matches to put him on the podium in 3rd place.
138: Asher Haag worked his way to the finals, going 4-1 on the day, where he took his only loss to the #1 ranked wrestler in 321-A.
A big shoutout to all the tables workers, volunteers, and administration who helped create success in hosting 12 visiting teams in a packed gym.
A special shoutout to our lone senior wrestler, who was honored at the tournament, Kia Mader. Thanks for 4 successful years of wrestling.
