Today, Mrs. Kauten's 4th-6th math students put both their math and detective skills to the test. They were able to solve a mystery by showcasing their math skills to reveal clues to lead them to the culprit.

Kelli from Kansas Corn presented to grades 4-6 about corn today! 🌽 We learned about the corn plant, types of corn, products made from corn, and conservation to save our farm ground used for food.

6th grade Ambassadors teaching about Unity Day! 🧡






Ambassadors did an awesome job helping to remind students about standing up to bullying and spreading the ripple effect of kindness in our school and community! They worked hard for over a month to prepare and their hard work paid off. Thank you to Josey Schoenthaler, Joslyn Honas, Linley Gabel, Lily Schmidt, Hailey McMillan, Brayden Hept, and Myles Vine for being such great student leaders. Thank you also to all the teachers and staff for your support!

October is national bullying awareness and prevention month. In order to spread kindness, knowledge, prevention, and fun, Washington Grade School will be celebrating Unity Week October 16-October 20th. With dress-up days and activities to create a culture of kindness and unity amongst our students.
Monday 10/16: PJ Day (comfy and kind)
Tuesday 10/17: Bright Colors/Tie Dye (make the world a brighter place)
Wednesday 10/18: Orange (unity day)
Thursday 10/19: Hat Day (hats off to kindness)
Friday 10/20: Sports attire (be a team player and unite against bullying)
