
The Ellis Recreation Commission will host its Annual Halloween Candy Hunt on Wednesday, October 25th. This is for all Ellis High School students, grades 9 - 12.


The Booster Club meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday, October 25th, has be rescheduled to tonight, Monday, October 23rd. Start time is still 7pm.

High school FCCLA, FFA, and KAYS members helped gather nonperishable food items during the Trick Or Treat So Others Can Eat event on Sunday. A total of 1,338 pounds of food was collected for the Ellis Food Pantry.







Tomorrow - Monday, Oct 23rd
Several JH Students signed up to attend a Scholars Bowl meet in Ness City. Students attending are asked to wear a Ellis shirt, bring a water bottle (Ness City is providing a snack, but not drinks), and bring money to stop at a convenient store after the meet.
Students will leave tomorrow at 12:30, the meet begins at 2:00 at the Ness City High City.

Unfortunately All Good Things Come to an End. The EHS Lady Railers fought hard today, picking up a tough win over MCL rival Plainville in 3 sets, then taking on #2 Bennington. They fought hard, but dropped a heartbreaking 3rd set, to end our season. The Lady Railers end a great season going 27-10.
We had 2 of our seniors hit milestones today. Taylor Seibel going over 500 digs in her varsity career as our libero (2 seasons) and Kylee Pfeifer going over 1500 assists as our varsity setter for 3 seasons.
We will miss our 6 seniors next season, we wish them well in their future endeavors and thank them for their dedication to our Railer Volleyball Team! 🚂🏐🧡🖤🧡





Avery Boydston punched her ticket to state. She finished 2nd in the 2A regional at Meade. Avery will compete next week at Wamego. Congratulations to all of our runners this season. We definitely got better. Railer Pride!!

Soccer Regional brackets have been released. The boys' will travel to top seeded Augusta on Tuesday, October 24, for first round matchup with the Orioles. The contest is set to begin at 5:30pm. Good luck to our soccer participants and team!

Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat is Sunday, October 22nd starting at 4:00 PM! Members of KAY, FFA, and FCCLA will meet at the Ellis Food Pantry, which is located behind Casey's!


Dental hygienists from First Care Clinic will be at our schools on Thursday, November 9th, 2023, for dental screenings on K-12 students. Fluoride applications will be available at no charge for those that have a signed consent by a parent. A consent form is below, and forms are also available in the office. Please turn in consent forms to the office by Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. If you would like to opt your student out of the screenings, please complete the opt-out form below and return to school on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023.
