The 23-24 Ellis yearbook staff received the National Yearbook Program of Excellence award for their 2024 book, "Splash of Color."

Last night, the Ellis Railroaders picked up a hard fought win 48-44 over Lincoln in their 1st ever 8-man game! Coaches and players would like to thank the crowd that came out and got loud for us the engery could be felt! Railroaders are on the road next week @ Hill City.

EJH Volleyball started the season off with both Varsity and JV wins against Logan-Palco! We have so much to improve on, but showed that we have the ability and confidence to become an amazing team!
**Reminder we will be having practice tomorrow (9/6) from 6-7am this will be at WGS. Please have the girls there by 5:50am so we can get started right away!
**We do encourage the girls to bring something for breakfast after practice, with it being so early they need some fuel in their bodies to make it to lunch.

JH Cheerleaders did an awesome job cheering on the JH Football Team to victory! Missing Nora because she was off running in XC!
The 1st meet is in the books with the Ellis XC team setting the tone for an awesome season. Several PRs were met and times were strong. Way to go Railers!!! Avery Boyston and Taryn Boydston placed 1st, Cayson Boydston finished 2nd and Talon Pyle placed 8th in his first 5K race.
Ellis Jr./Sr. High School has our own Chiefs Super Fan, Mr. Dreiling! He also recruited Maleah! Way to represent!
It's MEET DAY for our Railroader Cross Country team! They are off to Lindsborg with a start time of 3:00 PM! RAILER PROUD!
2024 Ellis High School Homecoming is just around the corner! The homecoming parade and game will be on Friday, September 20th. Theme: WE GOT GAME! More information to come next week!

Tonight the EHS Railer Volleyball team took on Phillipsburg and Russell in our first home matches of the season. Both squads started out slow losing to the Panthers in straight sets, 13-25 & 23-25 (v) and 19-25 & 21-25 (jv). But they both bounced back against the broncos winning in straight sets 25-21 & 25-12 (V) & 26-24 & 25-18 (jv). Great job ladies!
Our next vb action will be in Russell this Saturday for our c-team tournament, they take on Russell at 9:00.
After looking at several different creation stories in Junior English, students had to create their own and act them out for the class.

Fifth Quarter will be held on Sept. 6, Oct. 4, and Oct. 18 until 11:30 PM following the football games for all Ellis High School students. There will be free food, prizes, and games! Fifth Quarter is a safe, alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free place for students to have fun. More information about this wonderful event is included.
