Another successful race for the XC team as they competed at Ness City. Avery and Taryn Boydston placed 1st, Cayson Bodyston finished 5th, and Henry Brull and Nora Andrews came in 10th. Good work today Railers!!!



Ellis hosted the Fall Leadership Conference for District B yesterday. We had 10 schools in attendance with a total of 180 students. The theme was "Survey says.. Join FCCLA". The day was filled with games, learning, leadership, and friendships. Kinley Jones, junior, is a district officer and helped lead the conference. Taegan Shannon, senior, is a State FCCLA officer and provided a breakout session on public speaking. What a great day!

Please note a couple of changes to this season's high school basketball schedule. In lieu of our 2024-25 KSHSAA classification (1A-Div 1) and the new post-season model in place for the 2024-25 seasons, the following changes have been made. The February 25 basketball games at Russell have been moved to January 7. The February 21 basketball games at Plainville have been moved to February 20.

The Ellis Jr./Sr. High School Booster Club is participating in the Heartland Community Foundation's Give Fest event! Your donations during Give Fest will be matched up to 100% by the Heartland Community Foundation. Donor dollars will go to build an endowed fund, and match dollars can be used for immediate needs. Online donations open on October 4, with a day-of event planned at The Strand in Hays on October 10, from 2:00-6:00 PM. Donation forms are being sent home today with students. EHS VB traveled to Plainville tonight. JV walked away with 2 wins, against Plainville and Smith Center! Great job ladies. Varsity beat Plainville in 3, but drop matches to Hoxie (in 3), and Smith Center (in 2).
Varsity will be in action Saturday at our home tournament, first match begins at 8:30 a.m.. Come support your ladies Railer one last time on their home court!
