
Tyson Jimenez and Faith Fondoble received the KSHSAA Citizenship Award.
Tyson also received the Rocky R.D. Rohrbaugh Outstanding Male Athlete Award.

Journalism students were recognized for their accomplishments and awards.

Michelle Gottschalk and Lakyn Fischer were awarded the Lester Henrickson Memorial Scholarship.
Michelle Gottschalk received the St. Marys Home and School Scholarship.
The Ellis Alumni Association presented scholarships to Lakyn Fischer, Maddy Guffey, and Haley Schmidt.

Haley Schmidt, Easton Burton, and Lakyn Fischer received the Ellis Rotary Scholarship.
Madison Gottschalk received the Lyndell Barton Memorial Scholarship.
The USD388 Foundation awards scholarships to Zeke Haag and Tanner Kohlrus.

Josie Shepard and Katera Love received the Modern Mrs. FCE scholarship presented by Mrs. Luea. Josie also received the Rosabel Flax Memorial Scholarship. Katera was the recipient of the Ellis FFA Scholarship.

Lakyn Fischer was the recipient of the PEO Scholarship, the Shelter Insurance Scholarship sponsored by Todd Keller, and the Golden Belt Bank Scholarship.

Mason Gottschalk was awarded the Gary Luea Memorial Scholarship. Mason, along with Easton Burton, Zeke Haag, and Cale Younger received scholarships from the Federated Wrestling Club.

There was a large group of students who received the Site Council Award for 20+ hours of community service. Office Aides were also recognized for their help at school this year.

George Crawford was recognized by the VFW for his participation in the Voice of Democracy competition. George also received the Dale Dennis Excellence in Education Award, the Kansas Governor's Scholar Award, and the Outstanding Student in Math and Science Award.

EHS cheerleaders are doing big things in the future. Michelle Gottschalk and Haley Schmidt both made the Fort Hays State Cheer Team next year. So excited to see them on the sidelines next year. Good Luck Ladies🧡🖤🧡🖤


Faith Fondoble was recognized for her full ride scholarship to Southwestern College and Gannon Winter and Cale Younger received recognition for their full ride scholarship to NCKTech and jobs with NexTech.

Band and Choir students were recognized today along with Forensics state qualifiers.

Ellis High School has 36 seniors graduating on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ellis Jr./Sr. High School Gymnasium. Our seniors were awarded $1,062,890 in scholarships. Congratulations and best wishes to them!!

Congrats to the Railer JV golfers for placing 2nd at Norton today. Kaden Solorio was 7th individual with a 48.


Avery Boydston broke the 800 m 8th grade girls school record today in Plainville with a time of 2:30.65. Previous record was 2:32 set by Haley Cranwell in 2019.
