Ellis High School announces their 2023 Snowball Royalty! The annual KAY Snowball Dance will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023. The dance is from 8 to 11:00 p.m. Crowning for Snowball Royalty will be at approximately 10:00 p.m.

We just received word that Saturday’s JH Wrestling Tournament in Larned has been postponed and tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, February 4.

Here are some recent updates for this weekend's EJH/EHS events...
- EHS Wrestling at Hays: Open Spaces Sports will be streaming Mats #1-3. You may follow along with Track Wrestling - Bob Kuhn Prairie Classic.
- EHS Girls Basketball at Trego: PTV (Phillipsburg) will be streaming today's contest at 3:00pm
- EHS Wrestling at Nickerson: You may follow along with Track Wrestling - Nickerson Boys Invitational and Nickerson Girls Invitational
- EJH Wrestling at Larned (Saturday): Update to come from host school at 2:00pm today
- EHS Basketball at Trego (Saturday): TBD
- EHS Wrestling at Hays (Saturday): Wrestling will continue as planned.

The HS girls basketball team travels to Trego to take on Phillipsburg in the MCL tournament. Game time is set for 3:00pm.

It was a great evening to host some Railer Wrestling! The Railers Girls and Boys both earned victories over TMP and dropped the duals to Trego. Our Jr. Railers also got in on the action tonight and got to spend some quality time with our Railer Wrestlers while being cheered on by our Railer Cheer Team.

The HS boys basketball team will travel to Stockton today to face Smith Center in the MCL tournament. Game time is set for 7:30pm at Stockton grade school.


It's SENIOR NIGHT for our wrestling team! RAILER PRIDE and special thanks to these awesome wrestling seniors--Abbigail Heifer, Toccara Boyce, William Crawford, and Jarret Mader! They will be recognized at 5:50 p.m. before the double dual with TMP and Trego. Good luck, Railers!

A 2023 Snowball Royalty picture will be taken during seminar on Wednesday, January 18th! Candidates are asked to dress nicely!

The Ellis High School Forensics team is happy to announce its invitational forensics tournament to be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Our tournament will consist of two preliminary rounds and one finals round.
The categories of competition will be Extemporaneous, Informative, Oration, Prose, Poetry, Humorous Solo, Serious Solo, Improvised Duet Acting, Duet Acting, Impromptu, and Program of Oral Interpretation (POI).
We are looking for community members to help judge!
Round 1 will begin at 8:30 A.M. Finals will begin ASAP after Round two.
Rounds will be 1 hr 20 min unless 1 hr 30 min rounds are needed.
Round 1: 8:30 - 9:50 am Round 2: 10:00 - 11:20 am
Even if you’ve never judged forensics before, we want you! I have a “Forensics 101” PowerPoint that explains the different events and example ballots.
