Big thank you to Stacy Smith from FHSU and Taryn and Sidney from the Hilton Garden Inn who came and spoke to JH students yesterday about a career in Tourism and Hospitality.

Katie with Jana’s Campaign spoke to the seniors about domestic violence, red flags to an unhealthy relationship, and ways to help yourself or others if in a bad situation. Thanks Katie and Jana’s Campaign.

ELLIS HIGH SCHOOL INDUCTS 15 INTO NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, Ellis High School inducted eight juniors and seven seniors into the local chapter of the National Honor Society. Requirements to get into NHS are a 3.5 GPA, leadership in seven organizations within the school or community, accumulation of 40 hours of community service, and a positive character evaluation by teachers. The following students were inducted into the National Honor Society:

The EHS Choir is selling tickets to the FHSU Basketball games scheduled for next Tuesday! The choir will be singing the national anthem before the men’s game beginning at 7:30. Half of the ticket proceeds purchased through the choir is given back to the EHS Music Department! Tickets can be purchased and picked up with Mrs. Hirsch in the EHS Music room. Tickets are $12.00. Please send Mrs. Hirsch an email at ahirsch@usd388.com to get tickets, or swing by the EHS Music room!

There is an EHS Basketball (Girls) Parent Meeting on Tuesday, November 23 at 5:45 p.m. in the Ellis Jr./Sr. High School Gym. Please contact Coach Fortin or Coach Mattke if you can’t attend!
The 2021-22 Boys Basketball Apparel is now available! If you are interested in ordering, please have order forms turned in to Coach Hertel or the school office by Monday, November 29th.

CLASS OF 2022-Seniors
Order information for graduation accessories and caps/gowns was distributed to all seniors. Extra packets are available in the office.
All orders are placed online! Please go to http://www.jostens.com (choose Ellis High School). Caps/Gowns must be ordered by seniors and are paid for by the school .
EJH KAYS is doing a non-perishable food drive until November 23. The 7th Grade and 8th Grade classes will collect cans to donate to the Ellis Food Pantry. Each class will also use the food to block a teacher in their room for a free day. This is a great way to donate to the community, KAY members will receive points but all students can participate.
