Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat is Sunday, October 22nd starting at 4:00 PM! Members of KAY, FFA, and FCCLA will meet at the Ellis Food Pantry, which is located behind Casey's!

Dental hygienists from First Care Clinic will be at our schools on Thursday, November 9th, 2023, for dental screenings on K-12 students. Fluoride applications will be available at no charge for those that have a signed consent by a parent. A consent form is below, and forms are also available in the office. Please turn in consent forms to the office by Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. If you would like to opt your student out of the screenings, please complete the opt-out form below and return to school on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023. Ellis Junior High School will host its first JH dance of the year on the evening of Thursday, October 26th from 8:30-10:30 in the HS commons (this is after we conclude fall parent-teacher conferences). This is the annual Halloween dance, so students are encouraged to wear their costumes. Prizes will be awarded for best group costume and best individual costume.
Susie Eaton joins Ellis Jr./Sr. High School in our kitchen! Susie is a 1972 graduate of Ellis High School. Her son, Josh, graduated in 1995 and her daughter, Aaron, graduated in 1998. Welcome, Susie!

Volleyball Sub-State brackets have been released. The tournament begins at 1:00pm. The Lady Railers are scheduled to take on the Plainville Cardinals in a first round matchup beginning at approximately 2:00pm. Good luck to our EHS volleyball team as they compete for a state berth!

REMINDER - EJH girls basketball parent meeting Thursday after practice 5:45 at grade school gym. We would like to have at least one parent attend the meeting. Reminder Jr. High girls basketball practice starts next Tuesday Oct. 17th after school til 5:45 at the grade school gym. Make sure if you did not play fall sports that you have your physical turned in to Mr. Schoenthaler or to the office in order to practice. Excited to start our 2023 basketball season!!
The Lady Railers took on Trego Golden Eagles, Hill City Ringnecks, and Smith Center Lady Red. The Railers had to battle but beat Trego in 3, 25-12, 24-26, 25-22. Next they took down Hill City in 2, 25-10 & 25-11. Smith Center was just too much, losing 11-25 8-25. Railers are 25-9
The last regular season XC race in some windy conditions at Hoxie. Avery Boydston finished 1st. I'm so extremely proud of the improvement and drive that this team has used to make each and everyone runner better. Ellis Pride!!

This was the last race of the season for these JH XC runners. I’m extremely proud of their growth and accomplishments this season. Ellis Pride!! Taryn and Cayson Boydston came in 1st and Henry Brull finished 5th. Awesome Season Team!!!
