There was a lot of math happening in Mrs. Kautens 4th grade math class today. Some of the 5th graders came to help the 4th graders perfect their long division skills.



The band will play tonight right at 7:30, followed by the 4th-6th grade singing. Band students should be here around 7:15.

The fifth graders watched a video about how the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade balloons are made. Next, they tested how many paper clips it took to make different sized helium balloons hover. Finally, we created our own balloons! 🎈🦃



This year, Washington Grade School will celebrate the holiday season with “12 Days of Holiday Cheer!” Below is the calendar schedule of events. Each day will also feature a secret activity or holiday item, keeping the students excited and guessing!
Please remember that appropriate shoes for PE and recess are required each day.

The pep bus is on the road heading to Topeka! They are all excited to cheer on the Railer Cheerleaders at state! 📣🧡🖤📣


We have the opportunity to take the students to the game free of charge. We will be taking all 2nd-6th grade students to the game. We will eat lunch early and take the bus over at 11:30. The game is at 12:00, and we should be back around 2:15. Any questions call the school Monday.

The play that kindergarten and first grades saw today in Hays is playing again tonight! Admissions is free!

The sixth graders were challenged with creating devices that showed different forms of potential energy. They came up with some creative solutions!

Ms. Kelli from Kansas Corn presented to many WGS students today about the life cycle of corn and how farmers care for the corn. 🌽🚜
