This weekend the Ellis Kids Wrestling Club hosted their annual Open and Novice Tournament’s! Several familiar current and EHS alumni faces were seen refereeing on Saturday. From left to right. Gage Younger, Jarrett Mader, Kaydawn Haag, Zeke Haag, Easton Burton, and George Crawford. The Ellis High School Wrestling Team officiated and helped run score tables during Sundays Novice Tournament. Thank you all for the support and helping everything run so smooth! Railer PRIDE!

Happy New Year! The Board of Education is looking to appoint a new board member at the January 9th board meeting. If you are interested in the position, please contact Janice Wilson, superintendent at jwilson@usd388.com. A current resume and some questions to be answered by the interested party will be due to the district office by the end of the day, Wednesday, January 4th. Interviews will be conducted in an open meeting at the BOE meeting Monday, January 9th.

Miss Rohleder’s 4th grade class has been feeling very festive. They can be seen here wearing Christmas attire. On the 20th, Miss Rohleder’s son, Mason, a freshman at EHS, helped the kids make Christmas ornaments. Happy holidays to all!



The fourth graders at WGS want to say thank you to the PTO for purchasing each student a book. Thank you so much!


Yesterday the Kindergarten took part in the Gingerbread Man run! They had so much fun looking for their cookies! Huge Thank you to all the teachers and students that helped!

Mrs. Burd’s class got creative with snowball writing! They were given a holiday prompt to start a story. Next, they crumpled their papers into a snowball and threw it. Each student grabbed a random paper and added to their friend’s story. Finally, we shared our stories aloud!



We are so proud of our 3rd thru 6th grade spelling bee participants! Spellers going to the county bee are: 1st place- Lux Bell, 2nd place- Faythe Rummel, 3rd place- Henry Brull, and 4th place- Hailey McMillan. Great job students!!
