On Thursday the cross country team traveled to Lindsborg for their season opener and had a very successful first meet. In the 8th grade boys race Aiden Aschenbrenner placed 4th and ran a 13:00 2-mile. In the Freshman/Sophomore Girls race, Avery Boydston placed 1st running a 20:09, running the fastest female time of the meet. In the Junior/Senior Girls race, Makenna Kohl placed 3rd with a time of 23:18 and Macy Eberle placed 5th with a time of 25:10. On the boys side, Ethan Carroll placed 13th in the Freshman/Sophomore Boys race with a time of 25:14 and Austin Carroll placed 13th in the Junior/Senior Boys Race with a time of 21:09. The cross country team will take on the wilderness of Webster Lake next week on Thursday, September 8th, for the Stockton Invitational.
