Schartz and Seibel place at league tournament
The junior high wrestling season concluded at the league tournament this past Thursday. The team had seven wrestlers at the event. Carson Schartz wrestled well and lost a close match in the finals and had to settle for the silver medal in the 152 pound weight class. Brendan Seibel placed fourth in the 95 pound weight class. “We had a few wrestlers out with sickness that had a very good chance of placing” stated Coach Armbruster. The team made great improvement in skills from the beginning of the year. “I would like to thank everyone that came out to the tournament to support the wrestlers”. This year’s team had two very good assistant coaches in Riley Tubbs and Devin Onwugbufor. They always had a positive comment and encouragement for the wrestlers win or lose.
