The junior high wrestling team traveled to Stockton on Friday for matches. Only seven members of the team wrestled and were able to win five out of the 20 matches on the evening. Mason Rohleder was able to win two out of his three matches at the event and continues to improve after missing much of last season with and injury. The team took six wrestlers down to the Larned tournament on Saturday. There were no team points kept at the event that had 14 teams at it with over 440 matches on the day. Ben Byers had a very good tournament and was able to bring home a second-place finish in the 127 pound division. Baylor Born went 3-1 on the day and placed 3rd in the 105 pound weight class. Cole Yates had his best day of the season winning two of his four matches and placing 4th. Dominic Fondoble was also able to place 4th at the event in the 165 pound weight class. The season concludes this Thursday with the always tough MCEL tournament being held at Ellis this year starting at 3:00 PM.
