The Ellis junior high wrestling team was busy this week with matches at Trego on Thursday and a tournament at Russell on Friday. The results for both events are included. The team had a good day at Russell and many of the wrestlers were able to get five matches at the event. The team placed 8 out of the 11 wrestlers in the top 4 of their brackets. “We started out slow at the event, but were able to pick up some good wins and place well at the tournament.” We are hoping to keep the momentum going with another busy week with matches at Stockton on Thursday and a tournament at Larned on Saturday. The season will end with the MCEL Tournament at Ellis on February 17th.
