The junior high wrapped up the 24 season by hosting the MCEL Tournament. The boys team ended up 4th out of the 11 league teams. Asher Haag was able to claim the league championship at the 125 pound weight class. Korbyn Kroeger and Talon Pyle were able to make the championship match, but had to settle for the silver medal. Carter Jimenez and Jack Reed placed third in their weight classes and Kalen Smith rounded out the placers with his 4th place finish. On the girls side, the team placed 6th out of 11. Lyla Richards and Haylee Comer both placed first in their weight classes. Emilie Priest wrestled well and placed second. The other placer for the girls was Maggie Downing who placed 4th. “The team wrestled well at the tournament. The team improved throughout the season with this year being their first experience on the mat.”
